Heavy duty cleaner

Is there a foam cleaner out there that would work good on really caked on oil and grease? I mean heavy shit... I am looking for something(if it exists) that I can spray on, let it sit and then power wash off.

Then I would proceed with the dawn soap routine.

well the best water based degreaser is the zep industrial purple stuff from either home depot or lowes. other than that your using something like mineral spirits. if its actually really thick then you should be power washing off the parts so there is just a film then use the zep stuff.

This is what we use on the really greasy nasty units usually in close proximity of restaurant ex. fans, restaurant equipment, oily blown up shiet. It's Really Nasty super concentrated Sodium Hydroxide and not to be played around with. We have to be cautious about what, where,on we use it.
Probably the most strongest cleaner legally available. Wear PPE when using it.
Basically Extra heavy-duty sprayable Easy Off times ten in strength.
It WILL STRIP PAINT !!! Ruin Metal Roofing, generally f'up most things subject to cleaners on a larger scale.

Zoom products Mighty Boss is another Excellent product I've used for a long time. Really user friendly but no whimpy cleaner either. My choice generally.
And yeah, like Jim said, pre power wash what you can first.
I said Zep but looked at it again and it's Zoom. Really good all purpose cleaner and about as good as the Purple but not near as caustic. I've used about Everything and Boss is the Boss for 90% of things.

I used oven cleaner 2 weeks ago on my motor. I was a little concerned at first because the oven cleaner left my hands feeling very greasy or like a film was on them. I panicked and thought well crap that means the whole motor is the same way. My process was

1. Oven cleaner with red pad
2. Soap and water in a spray bottle and red pad
3. Mineral spirits in spray bottle
4. Water based wax remover (spi)
5. Solvent based wax remover (spi)
6. 2 coats full strength epoxy
7. 24hr later straight to basecoat and clear.
8. Done.

It's Lye,
Was making your hands in bars of Soap.
Even the Acid cleaner we used was rough. Rooftop, windy day, spraying ac units was 'interesting'.
Didn't know what Tyvec or poly, laytex was then. Best you could get was a pair of 'women's gloves'. Playtex.
"Yeah Right litter sissy arse pusky". Yes I am. That acid was like a hundred mosquitoes attacking you.
You really need to start talking better care of yourself because Old age is looking over your shoulder buddy.
And He's not exactly nice.

You can get drain cleaner in 100% sodium hydroxide. I use it mixed with water to clean old cast iron pans.

i haven't found much oven cleaner wont do. i used it a lot in the 70's to take off lettering and stuff. one shot is just " nope , i'm out of here" .

and yes if you mess with it all day your hands will be on fire by bedtime.

Your hands felt slimy because the sod hyd was dissolving your skin. Lol. That stuff will dissolve anything organic
Their hands felt slimy due to a process called saponification, which is the base mixing with the oils on your skin to basically make soap. It’s not really dissolving you. Now with enough time and HEAT it will.
