Doing a harley and the guy is looking for a really clean bright white pearl. Im going to do some spray outs and was wondering if anyone did HOK Ice pearl White over spi White?

Haven't done that particular combo but as an alternative to HOK. you could simply get pearl in that shade (ice white) from any jobber and mix it with SPI Intercoat. Probably a better value. And you would have a lot left over for future projects if you got a bottle. There are several sites on the web that sell pearl powder as well, but I can't attest to whether or not they sell a quality product.

ice pearl are actual glass flakes. much different that regular pearl. its a nice effect and a way of getting that metalflake look without the work of using an actual metalflake. with that said, on white it will look good when it reflects but its going to look like dirt any other time. get a xirillic white pearl. its on every manufacturers paint system so you can get it locally. on any mixing rack it would be the coarsest most sparkly pearl and more expensive than the regular mica pearls. dont put any pearl on heavy. the more you put on the more creamy it will make the base white. just a couple light coats is all that is needed. this will give you the whitest pearl white you can make.

Would this be the correct stuff?

i am guessing yes. xirallic pearls only come in 6 or 8 different colors and only 1 white that i know of so that should be it. diamont its called crystal white and wanda is crystal silver
