Any ideas on the darkest red out there that does not tend to go maroon shade?
No pearls or tri -stages, just a base and paint code would be great.

Reds are doing so good, may see if can do a darker one as a 4th red, so give me the paint codes and i will start buying samples to test.

Thanks
Barry

Thanks guys, I want to do this right so keep ideas coming and then I will start buying samples to spray.

1963 ford galaxie code j
M-30-J number 1515
Rangoon Red
Might be the same code for a number of years for ford products.

Chad, mix me a pint or quart in base of """all the above""" and also add 1997 Landrover code 590.
Also BMW 405 code.

Make the Candy apple as accurate as possible so if I need to buy gallon to get exact, no problem.
I think with emails I can see having two more reds.

I have a 1965 mustang that is oem candy apple red. To my eye it is not a very clean looking color. jm$.02w

The last dark red I picked was for a 41 chev convert in single stage and ended up using a stripe color-very happy with it but it sounds like it would be much darker than what is wanted here.

GM riverside red much nicer red than the ford candy apple, code rr

I here is a look at all original paint on my 68 Candy apple Red. I'm hoping to use SPI Candy Apple on the restore . Not a expert but looks ok at 20'.

Update, tested a lot of colors and tossed out my idea of darkest red, well not tossed it but thought about what would really compliment the line and also be high volume.

As of an hour ago we are 90% set to add two colors/.

Candy Apple red
Garnet red WA3921

Next test is if I can make and never have a variance from batch to batch.
Could all fall in line in next 30 days.

Barry where did the Rangoon red fall in line? Too dark or not dark enough? Or was it similar to one of the reds that you already have?
