Sanding epoxy?

Hey guys I will be doing bond work over a aluminum hood tomorrow using rage extreme. I sprayed the bare aluminum spots I sanded with a da using 80 grit with spi epoxy yesterday. My question is can I sand the epoxy before I start the bondo work? I know I don't have to but I would feel more comfortable. Any negatives to doing that? Thank you

Sanding it will make it thinner and more susceptible to sanding through. You don't need to sand it, but if you just have to do it, how about a quick rub with a red Scotchbrite?

Trust what the tech manual and EVERY person on here tells you on this subject. There is absolutely no need to sand it prior to applying filler provided you are within the 7 day window. This is an oversimplification but your bond doesn't come from the mechanical (sand scratches), it comes from adhesion (epoxy to the filler) The adhesive bond is far stronger than any mechanical bond.
