Uv clear

I am certainly no expert but I have to agree with Chris. 3 months and still being able to leave a mark with Euro seems like there was another issue somewhere. I also agree with Crash. I have been able to leave finger prints in euro the next day when its cold out (I have never tried to leave a fingernail mark. I always test with a finger print.), but usually after a couple of days it is hard even without having to sit it in sun. I have had the opposite as Crash with UC though. It seems to take longer to dry IMO. I sometimes can finger print it 2 to 3 days later. But humidity can definately play a factor.

South FL heat and humidity cures uc so darn fast.
When my pops & i sprayed his e320 hood on nice hot but dry NY day with $20 hf gun it went on like a dream.

Old timer told me he water hosed his lacquer paint job to cure it faster many yrs ago. Work for urethanes?

Crash, I have never tried polar. I am in Mississippi so the majority of the time I do not think I would need it. There have been a few times I could have used it in the winter months though. But for example I sprayed a front cap Saturday afternoon with Euro mixed 4:1:1 and temp was 70 degrees, but it was very humid the next day here. I tried to cut and buff yesterday (3 days old), and it was already as hard as concrete. Took me forever to get it buffed. It was the hardest buffing I have ever experience with SPI clears. Normally they buff like butter, but I assume the humitidy played a major factor.

Yea ,,i ask Barry and he say thats normal clear can take 6-8 mothns to cure all depends eviroment cant really remember what he say,,,,but did buff really good, when wet sanding no gumming ect but i did push hard with my nail lol just to test and ask barry right away ...maybe like you say primer.... and yea my is not dry next morning couple hrs in the sunand is ready to go,,im using fast now since only effects cure time and a bit in flash times on the euro with right reducer
