2k or epoxy

Hey guys new to the fourm but not new to SPI products. Great info here for a great product.

My question is im working on a long term project. So far I have blasted to bare metal, epoxy, did my filler work then Poly primer and blocked. Made some small repairs but very happy with the results. My question is the best next step if it will sit for a few months. Am I better spraying a few coats of Epoxy or spray a 2k primer. Like I said i would like to seal up the poly for a few months while I work on some of the other parts. The age old fear is the srinkage of the 2k but I believe it will sit long enough and the body is blocked slick and straight now so that shouldn't be much of an issue. I was just concerned how hard the Epoxy would be to block after months of sitting.
Any pros and cons of both are apreciated.
Just gives me more reasons to stress over which is the right one to use lol...

After a few months, or more, of sitting & then sanding, just make the next thing you spray is epoxy. Even a thinned coat, just to fully bond for any next applications of anything else to stick to. Nothing sticks to epoxy like epoxy.

As far as fear of 2k shrinking after a few months, that extra shrinking time would be a positive thing for 2k primer. 2k after epoxy would be fine, but if asking what's best here, you'll be told epoxy time after time.
It'll sand.;)

Ok that was my thought. I was going to give the 2k a try but I think you guys have convinced me to just go with the 2 coats of epoxy that will give me a little build to block out. Yes my plan was to apply a sealer coat of epoxy prior to the basecoat regardless.

This is the first time I will be using the epoxy over something other than bare metal. Is it ok to use wax and grease remover or a dupont final clean over the Poly primer or should I still use the waterborne cleaner like on bare metal?
