    1967 Camaro ss/rs restoration

Hey Mitch. Good to see you posting your progress on the Camaro. I enjoyed catching up but even more enjoyed you and Pugsy being back on the same forum. Lots of good memories from back when.

    With hesitation

How cool. We certainly will miss him but isn’t it great he did it before health, or family conditions, required him to. No one could deserve it more. LOL. Every one of us will be hoping we are one of those people he calls down the road to say “hi.” John

    SS vs BC/CC

I just read the article. I have to agree. Very little of it is accurate. As far as BC/CC goes, I just painted the back half of my ‘36 Ford Roadster which was painted with SS PPG Concept 20 years ago. After fighting (and thankfully winning) a color match problem, I can assure you I will never...

The biggest issue wth M/C tires is traction. Once they get old and hard, they no longer grip in the curves like a new tire. Just be careful and stay safe. John

    Fixed a little rust

I noticed today, this build thread had reached one million views over on Hotrodder’s.com. Pretty amazing. I spent a little while reviewing it and reminiscing about the build, the thread, and the journey in general. I drove Precious to the Good-Guys show in Nashville last weekend and was...

    Miniature belt sander

I have two of the little belt sanders. Both are air tools. The problem is not the sander but the limited life span of the belts and replacement costs. They end up pretty expensive to use.

    Color chart?

To add to the excellent info Chris just gave. Be very Leary of choosing any color based on line, or even a chip for that matter. It is impossible to show a color acurately on line. Each monitor will have a slightly different color tint that, can and will, alter the appearance. Choosing a...

    Gun "spitting" any suggestions?

One other place to look is the packing at the needle where it goes into the gun in front of the trigger. Tighten that packing nut until the trigger begins to drag and back it off until trigger moves smoothly. The gun can draw air in through that packing creating bubbles in the paint that will...

    Fixed a little rust

Carpet is in. Pretty much down to sun visors, rear seat and a couple pieces of wind-lace. Now, I'm not telling you trimmers have it made but, it is nice not to have oddly colored hands all the time. :) :):) John
