Honestly I’ve never reduced it - lays out good and atomized good - I would worry about reducing too much since it’s spraying such a small amount- I give it 4-5 good coats then mist some clear coat blender on it - done a lot of repairs that way- maybe it works for me cause I crank the pressure up ?

That’s what I do- I start with 1500 and finish with 2000. I run a foam pad at a slow speed and concentrate on not running it off the edge

Dirtiest paint job I ever did was when I lined all my walls and ceiling in plastic- wrong plastic! Everything on the plastic from the base coat overspray was “sucked” onto the clear coat from static- never used plastic again

I do it often - Goes without saying but make sure you stir paint very good each time or you could end up with slight color variations as you get to the bottom of the can

When I did this I had everything painted and buffed - I taped everything off that was to stay shiny. Then I scuffed/ wet sanded everything that was gonna be satin ( being real careful around the tape edges ) then painted it
