    The Coating Store/Urechem Candies

Hi guys, was thinking of trying Urechem candies on a car, anyone use them? Who makes the "best" candies, are they all similar? I was thinking Urechem silver base and then their apple red candy, followed by Universal clear. Thoughts?

I'm not certain, I have used some SEM trim black on some trim moldings and ran out. I would like to use SPI matte black if it's close for the remainder of the job.

    D/A Polisher/buffer

HI guys, anyone have a suggestion for a reasonably priced d/a buffer/polisher? I have a rotary Flex for my own work, but looking for an affordable option for high school aged students. I'd like to show them both rotary and d/a options. We have DeWalt rotary buffers but would like to purchase...

    Plastic repair

Thank you everyone, is the nitrogen welder worth it? I would think it must shield out impurities during the welding process. I haven't done much in the way of plastic welding, and thought it might be time to consider it. What brands/models would everyone recommend for plastic repairs? thank you!

    Clear Coat Clarity vs Quality

I agree that they are expensive. My question is why do their expensive clears often have a yellow cast and their cheaper clears are crystal clear? What is creating the yellowish cast, there must be some advantage or not?

    Clear Coat Clarity vs Quality

I think it may make a difference on certain colors. I'm just uncertain why some expensive clears are crystal clear and others have a yellow cast and are also expensive.

    Clear Coat Clarity vs Quality

Why do some expensive clears have a yellowish tint and some cheap clears from the same company are crystal clear? Some really good clears are crystal clear and some are yellowish...why?

    Clear Coat Clarity vs Quality

Hi everyone, I have seen some very expensive clear (Glasurit for example) that are not perfectly clear and have a bit of a yellowish tint to them. Conversely, I have seen some very inexpensive, low quality clears that are crystal clear. (Limco for expamle) Is the yellow tint have to do with...

    Old products

Hi guys, I have some older clear coat (2015) and epoxy still good? Does clear coat activator lose strength as it ages? If it looks good and activates is it just as "potent" as a new activator? I realize moisture and temp changes are not good, but is a visual inspection enough to tell? How...

I have had it on my past trucks and I do agree. Is there anything in the aftermarket world that is comparable?

    Line-X or....

Hi guys, co-worker has bought a new truck. Would you recommend any spray-in liners, or suggest going Line-X? I'm guessing Line-X would be more durable? Thank you! I know SEM, Uphol, etc make liners...but are they nearly as durable and UV resisant?

Rotary polisher/ buffer vs da orbital.

I personally use the rotary for everything. I just switch pads, compounds and polishes depending on what I'm trying to achieve. I think techs that exclusively do detailing rely more on the d/a type buffer/polisher. I've heard some people say that removing swirls is easier with a d/a polisher and...
