So what’s everyone think? Diamond plate or smooth front bumper? The benefit of smooth is I can lay down much better welds. Diamond plate kinda sucks for that.

Yep it’s 3/16 Thick. We have an overpopulation of deer up here and hoods and fenders are hard to come by.

Understood.

Looking over the pictures again this morning with more focus on detail, I gotta say............lots of thought went in to making that bumper. You have acute angles and pitches going on with that bumper. Both sides look like they match up perfectly. What are the two cut outs on the face of the bumper for, back up lights?

The two grilled cutouts are for LED back up lights. I really just wing it when I build these. Kind of like a painting.I stand back and look at it and see if I like it. As long as I make two pieces that are identical,it comes out symmetrical.

This bumper was a head scratcher. I really hated it at first but it is growing on me.
I laid down some perfect welds until my tip got hot and sputtered About 6 welds in. So I decided to just grind them for a smooth look. Epoxy yesterday and tintable Bedliner today. Oh if it looks a bit crooked it’s because the grill and filler were smashed and just hammered back out. I may try to fix that…… uhh maybe not.

I tinted the bedliner. It covered well but I am wondering if I should topcoat it for better UV or non yellowing? What do you think?

Was it Raptor? They claim it is UV resistant and won't fade or become discolored.
And if it does down the road, it can be recoated and the cleared.

Little Monster, too funny !.............. so what did you use to cut out the Little Monster letters?
