Wow Jim, that before pic would have scared me away. Makes the current pic a lot more impressive now.
In the second pic is that a two tone primer job or shadows? I'm guessing it's your handy work. I like the line it makes.

Mee to... the daughter was just connected to this car (Autism). So I put tape along that edge so I could start working a straight line. What you see is the epoxy under the poly along there.

Needed a bit of Icing Glaze to make it perfect... 2 more coats of epoxy and man it is so close.... on this side... The shadows were just wrong on the upper body line so I needed to rework that area with glaze.. it took the better part of the day but it is so much better... If you are not thinking you are wasting stuff you are not changing paper enough!

Well "winter" is coming to Arizona tomorrow so I took the afternoon off and wrapped up what I was doing and got the Valiant in epoxy. I have all I need to paint it ordered from Chad Sperry but that won't be till spring I think. There is still a ton of little things to do with the worst the roof needs Slicksand as it look like peg leg leprechauns where dancing on it after getting a shiny coat of SPI epoxy there. I need to get some guide coat and start blocking carefully to find the couple of spots that I know are there on the rest of it. The last 20% takes 80% of the time as they say...

Got lazy and went to a chile cookoff and show.. Unfortunately I was chatting with the guy with the Fury III so much I missed the chile! More blocking and fixing low spots. Used the SEM FiberFill on the corners where the lead use to be and gave it 3 coats of white SPI epoxy and 1 coat of grey as a guide coat for the blocking next weekend.

Worked from home today so I got a few free hours back so it was some frantic blocking into the sunset... so so close on the vertical surfaces. The trunk has a couple of spots that I will likely hit with a little glaze then a few more coats of poly and it should be perfect. The roof and hood have just a couple very minor dime sized places to fill and it is ready for the final coats of epoxy and the move to 220 grit.... Then likely a few more coats of epoxy and 400 grit and.... done.
