1966 Valiant for the Other Daughter....

Jim is hiding something

I have been experimenting on how to get that damn upper body line shaped correctly.... It looks ok'ish in the photos (I am sure crashtech has noticed it) but in the sun you can see waviness in the shadows which bothers the crap out of me... After the other thread and the love of paint sticks I tried something this morning that looks like it is going to make those body lines laser straight... I will use the LH side as a teaching moment :)

On the downhill side. RH side, trunk, roof blocked with 220 and guide coat then three coats of epoxy ready for the final 400. There are a few small things to fix but they are minor. The hood is needing more blocking and the LH side is going to get a 220 with guide coat tomorrow. Going to get adult beverages in the Dart.

you sir may just win a prize!
thats straight

I was thinking it still needs some work when the 400 starts :). It is a bit wonky behind the fuel filler because I did some glazing work before shooting this.. it needs to be blending in so there is not that abrupt jump before and after the filler.

It is official I am old. After 3 days of blocking I can't get out of my seat this morning without help and yesterday afternoon it was affirmed at the movies with my daughter...
