1966 Valiant for the Other Daughter....

And the other side is flat with great shadow lines.

The clouds and blue sky in those pictures is amazing!

Although I did see your fantastic work on the Mopar I just had to take a mom to appreciate your view.

Fellow '66 owner sold me his M&H dash and forward harness since M&H is struggling to make any orders to Year One. All in. I am using a much cheaper '67-'70 AC switch so it needs a couple mods. There was an external switch in earlier years to bypass one of the blower resistors so the fan spins faster in AC mode. In '67 they hired a real electrical engineer and they figured out how that could be done via the switch itself. All we need to do is to short the two end pins together and hook up the tan wire. The vacuum lines need one set of hoses reversed but we will get to that later.. Still need to wire in the Out Of Site Bluetooth receiver as well.

Holy progress Batman.....I step away from the computer to go to the bathroom and when I get back, you're almost done with the car?

As always, outstanding craftsmanship Jim.

Looks really nice and straight. If I could make one suggestion, it would be to get everything completely solid white before base. As it sits now, 1 coat of white sealer will not cover the dark and light spots evenly, and they will still show after 3 or 4 coats (maybe more) of base, in that color.

Yup. One coat of grey then 3 white and another blocking with 400 this time and I’m calling it done

I am wondering why you wet sanded if you are going to apply four more coats and wet sand again. Seems like a lot of extra work. :)

Don

It’s just what I do…. :) I hate sanding 320 and up dry. Cuts so much faster with water. I like to sneak up on it and see the incremental progress. I am at a point now after this sand that there is zero excuse to break through the white.
