1969 Mach 1 Restoration

The body was taken off the cart and mounted on a rotisserie so we could work on the undercarriage

Brian had to fill in the screw holes he drilled to fit and weld the seat risers.

Welds ground

Undercarriage sanded

The owner decided he wanted the undercarriage black

Seam sealed and ready for the last two coats of SPI black epoxy on the undercarriage and engine compartment

The engine compartment and undercarriage was sprayed the final finish coats of SPI black epoxy.

Back of the deck lid and hood sprayed Acapulco Blue

Sorry I have forgotten to update

The bottom of the car was tapped off getting ready for primer.

Epoxy primed

Hood and deck lid are painted with a couple of coats of clear

Front valance and head light buckets painted Acapulco blue with 4 coats of SPI Universal Clear

Inside the trunk painted

Thursday I sprayed 3 coats of ProSpray Acapulco blue

Friday I sprayed 3 coats of SPI Universal clear

After wet sanding the doors I sprayed 3 more coats of clear today

The body was wet sanded and is ready for 3 more coats of clear

Brian wet sanded and finished buffing the deck lid

Looking really good ! I'm really having a hard time on what to do to my Stang in regards of the engine bay. When you do yours how long do you induce yours or flatten it ?

I used epoxy mixed 1:1 waited 30 min. That is the way I do all the Mustangs and Fairlanes.

The doors have been wet sanded and buffed

The body has been wet sanded and buffed

Doors and deck lid have been installed

Rear bumper, gas tank and cap installed

We don't use lead

Man, this guy Brian is awesome!! Magician and artist all in one. After reading that and viewing the pictures I am convinced that if they could raise the Titanic, this dude could repair it. I wish I had that kind of talent.
