1979 Camaro Z28 project thread....

Started blocking last night. Please remember the doors and front are all hand made glass parts. I am going to get them as close as I can, but I am not going to kill myself over a car that is going to get abused.

Looking nice and flat, what kind of blocks do you like? i need to get a few.

I just use the durablocks. I have found that if you let the paper do the work they work awesome. Plus when needed they can curve a little when needed.

Made some more headway yesterday. Should be in final prime this weekend and maybe color next.

Awesome build! I need a toy like this....

This car is a full time job. I love drag racing and have always had a car, but I would never want this one.

Some fathers day work. I had a little bit of black epoxy left over so I mixed it in with the grey. 2k primer tomorrow

Hopefully this will be the last round of primer and blocking. Gonna let it sit out in the sun for a few days.

started blocking out with 240/320. I am going to finish it tonight and then give it one last coat of either epoxy or 2k and wet sand it with 600 for paint.

Just got done. 3 coats of prospray silver, and 3 coats of UV clear. Love both products.

Ill sand and buff the shell tomorrow or thursday. then onto the rest of the car.

yeah baby, looking fine...I have to order up some prospray soon too. when do you start the new gig as painter?

love those wet pics of the blocked out primer. I've learned so much from your posts and others. I LOVE this forum. I look at it more often than my jewelry biz sites now!

Well thank you very much, but honestly I dont know half of what some of these guys on this site know. Very informational site for sure and I love that its not polluted with assholes!

Started cutting the shell down last night. Nothing crazy, just stick sanding it with 1000/2000 then buffing. This is a total race car and its gonna get screwed up.
