Any rot? Looks like the right front fender & right door were changed, and the rear quarter doesn't look great. Something going on below the rear window, that era GM were know for rot in the window channel. Can you inspect it the car or is it long distance? Don't know what else to advise. Comes down to what are they worth, restored or restomodified vs. what is it going to take $$$$$ to do the work.
I like the body style, beautiful cars when done right.

A good friend of mine passed last fall, he has one of these in his projects. The car is super nice and solid, very little if any rust out. I have heard his wife is considering selling it. it has been parked inside for years and would need going over but I think it should be a driver with just a little TLC. This car has original paint never that we found has been touched inside or out. He was going to restore it for his wife to drive, cancer sucks.

Look around the rear glass and package tray closely Julian. They rust extensively there. You'll have to look inside the trunk up towards the package tray and glass. Judging from the pics it's got the rot in that area.
Judging by the pics it looks like a base model. If it's an SS with the original motor that will add some value but the high values on these cars aren't all that much. If it's a base I'd try offering less and see what happens. Bet you can get it for 2000-2500. Good luck.:)

65 is the year to own and the one worth the most money imho.

I have to agree. I always liked the round tail lights better than the rectangles. I painted a black original 327 SS 4 speed '65 for my father in law that he still has. It has a nasty 383 in it now, but still has the original look to it. I wouldn't give $3000 for that '66, unless you are just looking to build it for yourself. Better off starting with a cleaner one for more money, IMO. As Chris suggested, $2000 would be more in line for that particular car.

I had the years wrong, thought the 66 had the round tail lights, it's the 65. I always liked the 3 round tail lights on each side vs the square.
Some good advice posted here.
