A100 Twins

The 4 barrel intake would be the easiest solution, tuneable and probably the most power.
Gotta admire the 6 pack though.

Slants suffer from uneven fuel distribution because of the uneven runner lengths with a single carb.. The dual 1 barrels on my wife's made a big difference and this is the ultimate in even distribution.

I can’t believe nobody said where the heck is the tailgate? It’s in my garage blasted bent to crap. I’m waiting till the days get cold enough that I can only do stuff that I can drag back inside during the night.
boy i am putting off the tailgate too Jim. i did weld up all the little trim holes, but thats it. my kid is getting impatient. but i know as time goes on he will wish we took time to get it flatter. nothing like yours but better than it was.

Yes thats an issue, some brands are quite long moving the carb a way. Did you see the Engine Masters episode testing different 4bbl intakes for the slant 6?
In the end they put boost to it and got 320hp.

They got over 500 HP and lb-ft of torque with with with Bryce Gills Port FI intake, and turbo exhaust manifold. Bryce says that with boost and not injection on each cylinder the distribution is poor enough that he does not recommend going above about the 320 HP range with boost.

Roof and cab back glazed and 2k’ed ready for blocking and epoxy primer tomorrow. The weather is continuing to hold for me.

And Round 2, ding-ding-ding. She is as flat as I’m going to make it (and that is pretty dang flat). Two coats of SPI epoxy primer and a wet sand with 320 is next. I’m hoping I don’t find anymore low spots on the roof. I’m tired of sanding. Just ordered from House of Klear in Nevada, thanks John I have my fingers crossed I will have color on this next week. Apparently I’m a celebrity. He thought I was already in the system because he see my posts so often. :)

I’m about 45 min north of there. I dated a girl that went to oneonta college when I was a young buck. I made that drive plenty of times lol. Glad you escaped. I wish I did a long time ago. Now I feel like my roots are too deep. But I absolutely cannot stand the cold, the rot box vehicles, crazy taxes, state politics, yadda yadda yadda lol.

That is close... where abouts? Close to Utica? I was gone at 18, 60 now... (OMG). Remember those rust bucket clearly...

Another former New Yorker here. Raised in Pavilion, worked at Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, escaped to Texas when I was 24, moved back for a couple of years, then to Florida, Colorado and finally Arizona where I have been for almost 26 years.

No desire to return to NY at all.

Yes sir you nailed it. About 10-15 minutes from utica. Just far enough away to be out of the city. The rust is horrible. Nothing like seeing a nice 2019 3/4 ton truck that already has bubbles on the bedside. Of course there’s some preventive maintenance you can do to try and prevent that but that’s nearly a full time job. The stuff they put on the roads these days is like acid. You need a winter truck and a summer truck…sad. All I can say is you panic when your oxy acetylene torch tanks run empty lol. And like I said amongst many other issues. It’s sad, probably 80% of my friends fled the state. Some early in life…some later. But they all say they would never come back.

I think that is part of life... early you can move easily then you feel like you are rooted. Now I am retired we are again talking about is there someplace were we would like to spend the golden years besides here. I love where I live other than it is the top 10 for wind in the state.. every nice day ensures 3-4 days of windy days as a punishment.

That is all very true. I think I’d like Arizona…but you know where I’m coming from. They say it’s a good place for arthritis and achy joints so I’ve heard haha. I’ve gotten my hands on a few vehicles from arizona over the years and they were in amazing shape. But if I did move I have a feeling I’d be going south. I have a lot of good friends down south. Maybe…someday…
