Activator In Base coat

I have always used an ounce of clear activator in a rts quart of base coat, do you guys activate every brand of base that you use?

I do. The benefits of activating have shown themselves to me more than once. I have barely sanded through the clear while cutting and buffing, leaving base exposed. Since it was activated, I didn't have to fret about it wrinkling when I shot more clear over it.
