After 2k sanding how much time to paint

I am having A hard time getting in the shop these days. I shot my whole car in spi so far. First was epoxy and then I did the high build 2k. I blocked the whole car and that was a mont ago. I think I have to at least scuff it again before I seal with spi epoxy. My question is after I scuff it how long do I have ? I want to pull the car out and clean the shop and the car. Scuff the car up and tape it off. It might sit for a week or so after scuffing. Is that too long? How long could it sit ?
thanks

If the car hasn't ben exposed to anything that might contaminate the surface you should be fine just scuffing it.
If you know the car will be sitting for extended lengths of time it is always better to use epoxy primer as a sealer to protect the 2k. Then whenever you are ready to paint, simply wet sand the sealer with 600 grit, clean it well, wipe it with W&G remover and in thirty minutes or so spray your color.

Because of how old the 2k is, none of our concerns may be an issue.
To be safe gray pad real quick day or the night before as usual, it takes less than 10 mins on a medium-size car.

In the above example (1 month old 2K), If the shop was cleaned, the car was masked and the 2K was cleaned ready for sealer by wiping down with wax and grease remover (which for me will take more than a day and then the 2K scuffed with gray pad, does the 2K need to be re-wiped down with wax and grease remover to remove any of the sanding residue caused by the grey pad? Wouldn't the sanding dust from scuffing also get onto the car masking and the shop would need to be cleaned again?

What if instead of the final primer on the car being 2K, it was epoxy, If 2 month old epoxy was sanded a month ago with 400-600 grit, would it require to be scuffed before applying an epoxy sealer and base/clear? I am slow preping the shop and car for painting, and if I scuffing right before the seal coat is applied is not required, that would be easier for me.

That’s what I’m wondering Craig. I would like to pull the car out and grey scuff pad outside. Clean the shop and bring the car in to tape it up. At that point it might sit for a week to 12 days. Can I just wipe down with wax and grease remover and tack it off or do I have to scuff it again ? I’m just trying to keep the dust down..
thanks

Is the reason it is suggested 2K should be sanded/scuffed within 24 hours, is because 2K shrinks/heals and the sand scratches are smoothed and mechanical adhesion is reduced. If the 2K is old enough, does the sanding/scuffing requirement goes away? If so, what is that time period?
