Axalta purchased Metalux

I've been using metalux sealer and base for some of my projects and have had good experiences with it.

A friend of mine dropped by my shop today, I used to purchase from him when I worked for OEM (powder and liquid coatings) He's an Axalta rep, he told me this morning that Axalta purchased the Metalux brand from ChemSpec.

I hope they leave it as formulated because I like it the way it is.
 
I doubt that. They always seem to change things they aquire and make it worse to draw customers away and into the waiting arms of the parent Co. then they close the newly acquired business to eliminate any competition. Dirty business at it's best IMO.

We can go back 30-40 years and its the case every time, only a matter of when.
 
buy up the competition and strip it of assets or let someone relabel it . valspar is good at this. hok is being whored out everywhere .
 
other than hok i have never used valspar. i can say they make a hell of a wood finish line. best system i ever used for that.
