Blue filler

Anybody ever seen or used a medium blue color filler? It is the same color as the blue polycoated paper and seems to be very hard. I've stripped a few cars and never seen it before. They seemed to use it for "rust repair" :)

its probably a white filler that someone used blue cream hardener in. i know of quite a few white fillers. z-grip, marson platinum are just 2 off the top of my head.

This stuff is bright blue and it has gold filler over the top of it. They only used it over the rust spots. It also sands harder than normal filler.

Sounds like reinforced filler like Everglass or Tiger Hair. And you're right, Texas....it's a hole filler when regular metal just won't do. :p

It doesn't seem to have any reinforcing fibers in it. It also doesn't seem to have any pinholes.

Metal2Metal or All-Metal??????

That's a lot of filler on that panel TK. Looks like fun.o_O
That is nothing compared to some of the rest of it. The deck lid took 3 1/2 hours to strip with 80# on the Makita. Some of the primer is literally an eighth of an inch thick, and it's 2K. The owner said the color on the 1/4 and door didn't match. The car was painted in pieces and most of it was shot over black sealer, but the doors were shot over light gray 2K :D

Sorry to dredge up an old thread but I think that filler could be Adtech P17, it's very structural and is made to be used structurally (not like the example here obviously) Harder to sand than filler, yes. Any color mekp cream hardner will work and it's great to build edges and form contours etc...

I just got some AG47 from USC that looked like that from an ebay store, it was 21 a gallon with free shipping on the ebay store, . 27 on their no named site plus shipping since it pisses me off that we go straight to sources and pay more..

quite a few pin holes, but stuck really well and sands easily.

Structural Bondo exists?!? I've always joked about using "structural bondo" on panels, etc that are too far gone lol
