My booth is done and so is my prep work. Today I put on my brand new shoot suit,3M full face respirator and filled my new LPH 400. I laid down a real nice coat of grey epoxy and 2 shots / quart of the 885 reducer as per The Perfect Paint Job.
If only I had to deal with the few spots to de-nib. I also backed into my front fender and bumper leaving big butt marks in the paint. I sprayed a little extra on them so it only needs sanding.
My plan now is to go back in tomorrow and red-scotch pad the entire car and clean up my butt marks. Wednesday or Thursday I would like to shot my base which is transtar metallic blue.
Is my time between coats an issue? Attached are my pics from before I started and one of the view from the back door of my shop
