Can I mix euro by weight, not volume?

No. You would have to do some maths first and probably waste a little material. Euro is mixed proportionately 4:1:1. So you would need to break it down on the scale as 4 ounces of clear (example), 1 ounce of Activator, 1 ounce of reducer. You would need to figure what 4 ounces of clear weighs, what 1 ounce of activator weighs, and what 1 ounce of reducer weighs.
If you want to do this figure what 1 ounce of each (clear, activator, reducer) weighs. Then in proper proportion you could figure it by weight on the scale

Just as an example (weights are not accurate) each ounce of clear weighs 50 grams. Each ounce of activator weighs 35 grams Each ounce of reducer weighs 25 grams. So you would figure it clear 4 parts (50g X 4=200) activator 1 part (35g) reducer 1 part (25g) So 200g+35g+25g.

Make sense?

Ok so if mixing clear by volume isn't straight forward & one wants to use scale,
Safe to say they can weigh 1oz of each activator, clear, reducer & write on cans the weight?
Only reason i can think of why someone would is to not need or read mixing cups.

I measured this out a long time ago and made a spreadsheet. Given this new info, it looks like I have been over-activating by about 2%. Should I even bother to revise my spreadsheet? How much difference is there between activators? I've been using the same formula for 5001 as for 5002, is that putting me out of tolerance?

I guess my main concern is if using the same formula for Fast as for Medium makes me closer to right, or farther away. I may need to make a new sheet for Fast.

I would do it (not just with Euro) when I wanted to mix a very small amount (primers, sealers) directly into the gun cup, and when I didn't have any cups handy. And sometimes if I was being particularly anal retentive about a job. Obviously only useful if you have access to a paint grade mixing scale.
Over the long term it can also result in some material savings.
