Cleaning up a 54 Buick

So I have a 54 Buick I have been tearing down for over a year. Over 58 year old paint, surface rust and other junk on the beast.
My question is... How far down to bare metal do I need to go? I feel I will be removing paint for another 3 years! I mean there is no way to get into every nook and cranny. I am not going to have it dipped.i plan on epoxy primer, then paint jambs, assemble, more primer, then guide coat.

I'll stop as this is getting long. Should I paint or keep striping?

I have feeling to what your gonna say, but...

After you figure in your time, energy and cost of sanding materials... Media blasting is cheap! Call around for prices.

I'm in the same boat with my '64 tbird. I started strong last fall but lately it seems that it will just drag on forever taking the paint off. Add to that the various job and family changes that come up over time and it seems that I'm lucky if I get 2 hours a week into the old girl. I've started looking for a blaster that isn't too far away but haven't had much luck. I should have left it as a roller, now I have to drag it onto a flatbed. :(

Anyone know of a blaster near York, PA?
