Corvette Rally Red compared to SPI Red

I have a gallon of SPI Red basecoat that I have been hanging on to for a long time.
Got a guy with a 62 Chevy Truck he wants repainted red but can't remember the code. He said it is a Corvette Red and I am only guessing Rally Red 974.
How close would the SPI Red be to this Corvette Red? Hopefully somebody here is familiar enough with the Corvette colors to help.

I don't remember 70's reds being near as vibrant as SPI red because it was too hard to make bright red colorfast back then.

Here's a pic of the truck:

The rally red may be like the med or dark red, more so than the SPI red., we have chips we can send.

I remember hearing about issues with this, do you know what was the reason? Just curious.

Maybe work the other way round, send some chips from that hood to Barry! (just kidding!)

If you know someone who has some color chip books you could put chip next to truck. Dupont chips have the center hole making it easier to compare. When I don't have code that's what I do.

Shot some more of the Dark Red today.
The first pic is one coat of base over a gray sealer shot with Tekna Copper 7E7 1.4 tip. This base really covers well. I shot three coats of color before clear.
