Door Stand Plans

I would like to get or build a stand that will allow me to paint both doors at the same time. Many of you have them but they all appear different in design.

Are there any that work better than others? Also are there plans available if I decided to build one? I do have an engine stand, so something that would attach to it when needed might be the best option.

Thanks for any opinions and help with this.

This worked well for me. A V stand, conduit, and some scrap steel laying around.

Here's mine. Just a simple angle iron frame. The only thing that I would improve is that the engine stand will rotate about 5 degrees (where the pin engages is not a precision fit) either direction which is enough for one door to swing in an uncontrolled manner to one side or the other and if the door is heavy enough I could see the whole thing falling over. I just make sure to either keep the doors tied together or if I swing one open to paint the front jamb that I swing both doors at the same time carefully.

I'm going to need a new stand soon also, and I like this base for a stand. It was posted by someone else, but the base design could be used for multiple uses, could be any size, and it all comes apart for storage---which is important to me. Needs more bolts to hold though.

Wow. Thanks guys. Now I will have to try and assess the best features from each one and patent a design. LOL
Seriously, I appreciate all the pictures and comments.
I want to get this done before I start getting serious with the 1968 Plymouth GTX project. Those doors are large and heavy.

found some better pics . i have 2 of the roll arounds but multiple uses .
