Dynacorn Depot fenders

NextGen Classics

Floor sweeper
Anyone heard of this place? I ordered a pair of fenders for a 1967 mustang from them, they came in a large Dynacorn International box but inside the fenders were wrapped in some Taiwan packaging.

I wanted to know how/if you can tell if these are actually Dynacorn fenders because they do cost more than other fenders. Here is pics if packaging and numbers. Thanks

Dynacorn stuff is pretty much all Taiwanese. All that stuff comes from the same places in Taiwan.Mainly a company called Tong Yang. Just packaged differently. That packaging looks like the cheap Taiwan repro parts though. Where did you buy it from?

I don't expect miracles with this sheetmetal but I thought the Dynacorn was supposed to be better than the cheaper stuff. Here is a pic of the fender to cowl, you can see the corner of the fender squared off.

Yep, typical of most of the "Dynacorn" stuff I've used. Usually thinner gauge or really soft (not in a good way) steel. Sometimes you can even tell the difference in how it welds when repairing issues like what you have in the pic. Just to keep in mind most of the reproduction stuff out there (for Muscle Cars) comes from Taiwan. Same two manufacturers of most of the aftermarket late model parts make most of the AMD Goodmark and Dynacorn stuff. Tong Yang and another company whose name escapes me at the moment. With repop stuff you gotta resign yourself to the fact that if you buy it you are going to have to do some work to it to get a proper fit. Some of it will never fit or is so flimsy (mid 70's Chevy/GMC doors come to mind) that it is pointless to use it. When I can I like to repair the original stuff, even if it takes longer or cost more to do so.

Went to the Dynacorn home page and had a good laugh.:) Maybe if you say something enough everyone believes it.

"The quality and fit of our restoration quality parts is unsurpassed. The Dynacorn parts of 2012 have no relatives from bygone days. Our tooling is new and crisp, the steel we use is the very best available on the market and the craftmanship is beyond good...it is superior."

In all honesty Dynacorn is probably low man on the totem pole when comparing AMD, Goodmark and Dynacorn. Only true quality repop stuff I've ever found is some of the stuff that is made in the US. Brookville Roadster makes very high quality stuff. But there are also a lot of companies out there that sell body parts for less popular vehicles where the stuff is made in the US (usually handmade) and is also crap.
