Early 70's spatter paint?

I was just looking at the zolotone black/aqua. I think I may try that one. I am hoping my 2.5 prolite primer gun will work with spraying it. Although I do have a HF pressure pot gun that I have never used.

It should, TDS states 2.0 - 2.4. If your doing all of the trunk that can be seen meaning the bottom of the package tray, wheel houses, pan, quarters top side & sides back panel, down inside the drops I would suggest getting 2 qts. You'll have about 1/2 qt left over. This was on a A-body though...

Taking your air cap off works and spraying without it works real good if you have a bunch of separate color paints you want to use up and get rid of to make a spatter finish. It is a nice way to get rid of what you tend to accumulate with paints if you don't care about a color match. You can fool with the tip size and control the droplet size with distance from the surface. I didn't use any or need any monster sized 2.0mm or bigger fluid tips. But that might be fun to try with differing layers. The droplet mess spewed out onto the surface resulting from this with one color then gets overlayed with another and then possibly another blending into a reasonably attractive texture for what it is. But it can be more work in uncomfortable areas and positions than I want to do now.

Thanks to Chris Hamilton's post--I'm going to buy this product now! I had stopped looking for such things a while back in quarts.
