Filler Adhesion

I'm using Rage Ultra filler on a restoration (sandblasted, SPI epoxied, then filler) and after blocking with 80 grit and then 180, I needed another coat of filler and without really thinking I went ahead a spread another skim coat over the 180 sanded area. Does the 180 provide enough tooth for the filler or did I just screw up? Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the quick response. When I get to glazing pinholes, is it ok to finish sand the filler with 220 grit then spread Dolphin Glaze over that?

Thanks for posting that link. I was looking at an old TDS sheet from '12 that didn't call out the specs for prepping body filler.

I use Dolphin Glaze and have had on occasion discovered a pinhole here or there in the filler after final sanding with a finer grit and blowing it off with air (the sanding dust fills holes until is is blown off). Though the TDS mentions 180 or courser, I don't think that is necessary for filling a pinhole. Most of the glaze around the hole will sand off leaving only the pinholes filled.
