Filter System Recommendation for Beginner

I would use two of these one at compressor and one at the gun, and get a new hose. Put a new small filter coming out of the compressor. Just as a back up or third stage of protection I would get the orange ball put on your gun.
I purchased 50ft of flexzilla to attach from the 3 stage to the gun. I do need something to connect the compressor to the hard line. Seeing as it says desiccant, is this something that needs replacing after absorbing too much moisture?

Ya, Like i said the dad500 setup is quite old and there may have been times where the media was left in there a bit longer than it should have and the little screen at the output side got a small piece of damage....Now this probably happened on a Thursday night and I put the motoguard deal on there because it was available for the weekend of work. I got so used to it being there I ended up upgrading it to the 1/2" model when I was battling some other issues. Regardless, it works great and clean air is the one less thing I worry about now. Now that there are systems out there that are relatively affordable I will be replacing it shortly when I am all caught up.

As far as heat goes, Here is my setup. I run a radiant heater above my paint area. When the curtain is pulled to close off the paint area and the intake and exhaust fans on itll still keep that area about 75 or so. I paint at night so if I know its gonna be cold, Ill crank the heat up while im at work during the day. Also, those fly traps I have hanging are awesome...I highly recommend them.

And then I have another on the other side for when it gets really cold. But I try not to paint when its frigid unless its something small.

Ahh yeah those radiant tube heaters work great in a shop. My buddy has a couple in his and stays nice and warm. And your not blowing any dust around. Unfortunately I have very low ceilings in my shop so I could never use one. I’d be melting the roofs of cars and catching my hair on fire. So I’m stuck with other alternatives. Keep using the torpedo heater I guess if ventilation is on.

A dessicant snake right at the compressor output would be exhausted in no time. It’s intended to be a last line of defense installed after all other traps and filters.
