Finixa cup system

I really like the ability to spray upside down, and this system doesn't seem to offer that.
I viewed another video where they did spray upside down, I'll try to find it. What was different is the vent is in the base, so it would have to be some sort of one way valve.

Cancel that! Can't find the video of it spaying upside down. Seems the only way for that to happen is with a collapsible liner.

yeah, best thing about PPS is getting the air out and going at any angle. I do like those graduated cups though, even though it looks like you look thru the cup to the opposite side to mix.. You can just get little strips for PPS, even though alot of places have pictures with painted on lines. I guess if you can deal with staying level with the gun or doing your bottoms when the cup is fullest you are OK. I do like the individual packaging though.

looks like it is not the friendliest to connect and remove from the gun. I'll stick with PPS.

Kind of hard to tell from the video, of course they will make it look easy.

Never could spray upside with standard cup anyway. 45 years of washing cups I'm ready to try disposables! I like the individual refill packages as well. The cups are about 25 cents, lids $1.12, cheap enough to try. I ordered a combination package, comes with some storage lids, and some adapters. We'll see how they work.

Just meant comparing it to the PPS setup. When you fill a PPS system, you are supposed to hold the gun upside down and pull the trigger, which sucks out all the air from the liner. Then you can spray at any angle with no loss of the pattern no matter how you hold the gun. They also have a pressure setup with the 2.0 gun, where an extra air supply can be introduced into the cup and it pushes or squeezes the liner to give you a pressure type setup.

You're talking about the Accuspray gun with the pressure pot.

its a pressure cup 16124 that is used with the 16587 gun, you want to lay down heavy slick sand stuff its a good choice.

I wanted to clarify for others that it's not a set up for just any gun but the Accuspray system. I'm really liking the 1.4/1.8 set up.

we sprayed .006 metal flake thru the 1.8. The needle on the 2.0 gun is huge. I would really consider drilling out a 2.0 head to 2.4 or so to try. We also use the 2.0 tips on the 1.8 gun with no problems.

Update-Test Report
Ordered the package of 50 lids, 200 mixing cups, that came with 50 storage lids. Also ordered 3 adapters; no.2 for a Genesi, no.6 for Sata 5000, and no.7 for Walcom FX.
First issue the no.7 adapter had the wrong threads, it's threaded 12mm X 1.5mm pitch and all the Walcoms are 12mm X 1.0mm pitch. The seller did address the problem, thanked me for the information that they said would inform the manufacturer, and credited my account. Otherwise the adapters are made nicely from stainless.

So I have a cup and a lid on the bench (no paint) playing with snapping the lid on to the cup. On about the 3rd or 4th time the sides of the cup split from top to bottom. No excessive force, just enough to make the seal. Imagine that happening on the mixing bench full of paint!
Used the first set up for a small amount of epoxy sealer worked OK. Putting the gun/adapter onto the lid was no problem. Next was base, when I inverted the gun to spray the little vent valve in the lid pissed paint straight down all over the gun, my hand (thank God for gloves!) and dripped on the work. I made a save and replaced the lid, did it again. 3rd lid got me through the base.
Next cup and lid for clear functioned fine for spraying. Put the cup with a small amout left over clear aside, went out and when I returned in about 5 hours the bottom of the cup split right across the middle and leaked onto the bench.
Used the system one more time for 2nd final flow coat of clear and it worked OK.

Conclusion
The product can't be trusted and I can not recommend them. I would have to have used at least most of 50 lids and cups with zero issues before I could say with caution they were OK. I'll use up the remaining lid/cup set-ups on non critical work and the excess cups for mixing only and I'm done with this product

Thanks for the review!
I could find nothing on the internet regarding the actual use and review of the product. Too bad, if they worked well without issues I would have loved them. The vent on the lid that ends up on the bottom of the fluid when spraying was it's biggest problem. When they worked they performed well, no paint starvation but when that vent leaked what a mess. Who knows maybe the rest will work without issues but after 2 failures in a row early into the box I can't trust them.
In theory it's a decent idea with a good price point. But that line between quality and cost of production I suppose can be tricky.
