My camera really struggles with this color in direct light! It reproduces nicely on the shaded side. Here is the first light my all SPI car (and first paint job ever) has seen since I painted it last fall.
Nice! This is an excellent resource for first timers to study, read, and turn out a top notch paint job. I have been studying this forum for 7 years in prep for my first "real" paint job, and can only hope that it turns out as nice as yours.
My only advise is DON'T over think it. Use the phone to call Barry and get the answer for what your problem is. This forum is filled with lots of great information but many of these guys are pro's sharing tips and tricks. First timers should just follow Barry's "Perfect Paint Job" paper and call for advice if you have a question or need to deviate.[/QUOTI
I could not began to count the number of first timers, that we have taken through their first paint job and it turns out as good as a pro, last year 4 were actually doctors and a couple of dozen engineers.
What i have learned through all these calls is 99% of all people want to learn and will listen and when they do the results are fantastic.
Its a great feeling as I take each job personally.
One side note of advise to you Jim, don't feel insulted if someone thinks you have a dukes of hazard car. Most people aren't real car people & only recognize similarities. Besides that, it's really hard to find an orange 69 charger with that nice of a paint job.
