first time using UV clear

This clear lives up to the hype. I would say the best clear I've used in 12 years professional use, including 8152, 2002, vibrance clear, dc4000, spies 8035, all hok clears, RM 5335, glasurit 923-460. Glasurit is the close 2nd but factoring the cost it's no contest.

Currently I work for a custom paint/airbrush guy. This pic is a repair to the hood and is a flow coat. But I've never had a flow coat lay down this nice.

Looks really slick..... which gun and settings did you use, if you don’t mind me asking?

Is that unreduced, just 1:1?

Thanks Jorge! I used 1:1 slow in 80* temp. Would have used very slow if i had it. I found it to be thin. Not like others have said. Maybe I got the mixture wrong but it worked. Lol. I used Sata 5000 rp 1.3. Probably dialed in a tad bit. Its a fire hose. It's been a few weeks ago.

The deal about psi is that it's a digital gun. I set the wall psi at 120 because I use the devilbiss whirlwind filter, which says it may burst over 120, along with a iwata mini regulator on gun. I leave the gun micrometer wide open and control it with mini regular.

But the reading from mini reg to digital gauge doesn't match. The gun registers about 5psi lower. I don't know if that's correct or maybe the mini regulator needs to be replaced. So I sprayed roughly 34 on reg, 28-30 at gun. I set it by checking the pattern on paper with the pattern horizontal to make sure it's even.

Thanks for the info, I’m always curious how people go about things when the results look so good.
