Fisheyes/Creators

I work in the paint shop for a major auto manufacturer. Here is a list of chemicals we use that cause fisheye or creators as we call them. Maybe it will help someone having fisheye problems. Most of the issues we see come from deodorants and lotions.

AAE, when I have the energy to type up that story, I think a lot of people would enjoy the pain Jimmy and I went through for 2 to 3 months.

I don't know what would be worse, fried chicken or doughnuts. Solvent based cleaner will not take it off no matter how many times you wipe it, only water based.

Sounds like you are speaking from experience. ;)
I didn't get my figure from eating kale;) And, yes. I also have a helper that can't keep from touching everything I have to paint. I don't know what comes out of his skin, but I have to use 700 and 710 on everything he works on, and sometimes have to resand areas to get rid of fingerprints or palm prints. I have gloves, but he rarely wears them. I've never seen anything like it.

Abridged version: Barry got multiple calls about fisheyes appearing and strangely enough, only on Fridays. Turns out the manager was buying fried chicken for lunch. No real man uses a napkin around other men, so, they would wipe their hands on their clothes. Therefore, fisheyes.
* Some info may be inaccurate but you get the gist.

Thanks AAE, think it was every wed after lunch and it was one paint helper did not wash hands and went to taping, bingo that car fish eyed.
Owner was so happy finally figured out problem, he sacrificed that car just to make sure that was the problem.
over three months, guess cost shop $20,000 including 4 to 6 grand of filer rework can't remember exact cost.

i can work with iso's and other bad stuff just fine, but lock me in the room with a person who sprayed Deodorants or perfume, ill die in 5 mins. Same with allergy for pollen. may and september, the only time i can freely breathe is when im spraying cars in a booth.

A good deed never goes UN punished, the owner would buy buckets of KFC every wed for lunch but problem was he was always so busy he could never go out and eat with the guys in shop with the exception of this day and figured the problem out pretty quick but did not say anything to any one until the front end truck warranty job fish-eyed, so he would know for sure.
