Gone Riding.

Leaving tomorrow morning for a 7000+ motorcycle ride from Paulden, Arizona to Van Buren, Maine and back with a few detours along the way.

Riding a 2015 Harley Fat Boy Lo that I have customized a bit.

Many of us don't like bikes,,, we love em. Don't love the hazzards of street riding, so glad to see you have good lighting , bug shield , & crash bar.
My last street bike with a Vetter Rooster Fairing took care of me on12hr almost nonstop ride days years ago, yours should do the same.
Just traded it after sitting for years for a 125 dirt bike I'm turning into a chopper drift trike, lower budget toy.:cool:Can do low speed controlled donuts in double wide driveway right next to work truck without hitting it.:p Gotta take what you can get with any available fun in life.

Thanks guys.
Chris, I try to avoid the Interstates as much as possible. Watching what is going on all around you is much easier when there are only two lanes.
If you think about it and are so inclined, say a prayer from time to time for me. I would appreciate it.

Sounds like you have a plan. Are you going alone or with others? I feel less of a target if I ride with a few friends. I have been ran over a couple times though.

Safe travels, I am inclined and will send prayers! Ride 2017 Street Glide myself. Skipped Sturgis this year (have been 6 times) and went to Hot August Nights in Reno instead. Riding up to Lake Tahoe was awesome.

Nice bike! On my bucket list is to go from Astoria, Oregon to the tip of Maine. Just do it one way and ship the bike back.
Could happen next year . . .
2017 Street Glide, the Milwaukee 8 is the bomb!

That is just awesome; my dream for the last few years has been route 66, as it's been 60 years since I was on that trip.
My vacations have been 3 or 4 days counting the weekend.
Some day we get caught up will
Take a two weeker.
Enjoy and be safe!

@Barry Just my two cents. Chances are you are never gonna get caught up. Take the time now. Your boys can handle running the business for a few weeks. The things that matter at the end aren't the days of work but the memories you make with your loved ones.

Hello everyone and thanks for the concern, prayers and comments.

I rode from Arizona to Dayton Ohio, met up with 3 others and we headed out on a great ride. Rode through Pennsylvania and angled up to Portland, Maine. From there we stayed on US-1 for the most part and road to Madawaska, which is the furthest Northeast point and one of the 4 corners of our country.
We took US-11 etc. to Bangor, then headed west to Mt. Washington, New Hampshire and road to the top of the Mountain. After that we headed back to Dayton, where I left my friends and began my journey home.

It was a great ride and I am very thankful for having the opportunity to go. The only mishap was a flat rear tire on my bike when I was about 5 hours from home. My fault for not checking the tires prior to returning home like I normally due. (Last set of tires were purchased in Montana so they already a a couple of thousand miles on them.) There was a large amount of rain in the forecast on my previously planned route home, so being concerned with rerouting the trip I neglected to check my tires. :(

Fortunately I was able to get to the next exit and wait there for some men to bring my trailer to me and get my bike home.
New tires are on the way. LOL.

A few pictures for y'all.

According to my odometer, I rode just over 7000 miles on this trip which would explain the next picture.
