I'm painting my first vehicle ( 55 Ford F100) and need some advice. I'm painting it apart or disassembled. Last night I had planned on applying 3-4 coats of Universal Clear onto 4 fenders and 2 doors. I was about 3/4's finished with the first coat, when I was interrupted and informed I had to leave because of a family emergency. I quickly finished the first coat and left. I had time this morning to quickly examine the parts. I have just a light coat in a few areas because of rushing the last bit of paint.
Is my only option sanding off the clear and reapplying base or can I lightly scuff and apply more clear?
At this point I'm not sure when I can get back to this project.
Oh, I also found some nibs in the clear.
