Looking for suggestions on type of wire and gauge for hanging a couple of Camaro doors from ceiling in garage . Anything from the big box stores available ?

I've used something they call rebar tie wire?

I was on home depot under solid wire and did not see this, guess it's how you word it. I've tied miles of rebar but not with this gauge lol. Thanks i will check it out ! Had no idea it was 16.5 gauge

I had some of this leftover from years ago. It’s comes in handy.
Just in case you didn’t know coiled wire can be straightened in a few seconds by clamping one end in a vise and chucking the other end in a cordless drill …spin while keeping tension on the wire and in a few seconds it will be as straight as an arrow.

I use rebar wire. The stuff I has has some kind of an oil on it so you do have to wipe them down with wax and grease remover first. I hang the doors from scaffolding. I run the wire through one of the sets of hinge holes, through the door and out the other set of hinge holes.

I have a lot of screw in hooks in my ceiling and use
chains to support doors, hoods and fenders etc.
Sometimes I add a support on the floor
to tilt and/or stabilize it from moving.

Ended up with these fence stays that are 9.5 gauge. Feel a little more confident than tie wire even doubled up. Did the search and looked at all your guys ideas, appreciate it !
