What is 4000B HVLP best for, Clear? Basecoat?

What 2nd gun should I get? An Iwata W400 or LP400, Entech or Supernova?
Or Sata RP or X5500?

Right now I am spraying, Epoxy Primer, Primer Filler and Sealer, Base and Clear all with the 4000B HVLP digital and the 1.3 tip that came with the gun.

The Sata recommendation of 29 psi is too high for my liking, I run it at 25psi, and don't pull the trigger all the way back. I am now using a metal Sata cup, which deposits a lot more paint than the plastic disposable cups that came with the gun, which had internal filter screens.

The 4000 hvlp is best suited for base coats, If you want a slower type clear gun then get an Iwata LPH 400 1.4 and if you want to move fast get a Sata x5500 RP 1.3. I had a Sata 5000b Rp 1.3 and loved it as I could really move fast like I want to spray, I sold the Sata 5000 and have been spraying clear with an Iwata LPH 400 1.4 it sprays very nice but is slower than I like so I just ordered a new Sata x5500 RP 1.3 I pattern that will be my preferred clear gun. As Barry always says, The Iwata is a finess type gun and the Sata is a hoser.
