Help with respray

Looking at repainting my car that I just finished the cut and buff. The car was originally stripped down to metal then sprayed with SPI Epoxy primer, base and then 3 + 3 coats of UV. Question is do I just sand the clear with 600 grit then rebase and then clear? It is going to be metallic base ( moto base)

Wow, that is a lot of work to have to start over. What is the issue that requires a respray? 600 would be my choice to spray base over the clear.

I painted the car in pieces, need I say more. I'm just not happy with it. The color is Acapulco Blue metallic and it definitely shows change in color from the quarters to the doors.

That sux. I have been burned trying the same. Just not worth the risk on colors like that, IMO. Just had a customer wanting me to paint a truck in pieces the Mazda 46V color. I told him he would have to pay me double because I am sure there would be the same problem you are having now. He decided on a solid red :)

Depending on the base you are using 600 can be a little aggressive with a metallic. 800 wet would ensure no sand scratches show through the base. Sand in one direction only, do not cross hatch.
Finely got some more Universal Clear so I'm going to start wet sanding with 800. Should I go over everything with 3m gray pad and scuff stuff when I'm done wet sanding or just use that on the edges and nooks and crannies? I'm not going to be sealing, just going base and clear over sanded clear.
