HOK SP1600 polyester primer

I heard from a “reliable source” that Clausen Sandy is the same as Rust Defender and All U Need except no zinc which is fine with me. I’m going to try it on my next job. The price is a lot lower.

I really wanted to try Clausens, but the price is just killer on it now. I'll be interested in hearing how the sandy stuff is.
 
i stopped worrying myself to death on prices. use to count pennies and look for cheaper supplies. in the van business i even had my tape made. it suck that everything is sky high but not worth the stress. i use just about everything i order on a full job. when i put pencil to it i was actually shocked. on a 10k job it's nothing.
you just gotta pass it along in the job. that's how it's done. everything else in life is that way why not us ?
 
Evercoat price increases have been astronomical. I think they are doing it because they can. No good reason imho.

I bought some Rage ultra locally last week and it was $120 which I thought was ridiculous, regular filler was around $35, I went with the Rage
 
I used to pay $75 for this stuff.

Personally I think it’s anything that might be dangerous to the environment ? Environmental agencies and red tape ? Just a theory - bought some stuff to spray on my lawn and control creeping Charlie- was $75/gallon about 2 years ago - $135 now - same with fertilizer

My dad told me his grandfather bought land for $ 5.00 per acre.
Paid 70:00 for 3m 1131 ' on sale ' couple days ago.. 3m marsen 1131 ouch. Was $55.00

This is true. Once we went off the Gold Standard the money issued became a Promissory Note with no means to redeem its stated worth.
As the stated value decreases it cost more of them to purchase anything. We used to buy houses for what they sell cars for now.
 
Back in my day…..hahah. We all know the sayings. But honestly I think everyone is just starting to take advantage of the whole inflation thing. Just stinks cause my wages aren’t going up.
 
I bought featherfill g2 off ebay for 99 dollars about a month ago. And a gallon of rage for about the same , a month ago, off ebay. Free shipping, plus tax. Rage was 60 dollars a year ago. I'm about done with rage. Might try 3m platinum plus, I've read good things about it on this forum.

All these problems started when they started paying fast food workers $15 dollars an hour. This is nuts and something is going to give eventually. When I graduated my little 2yr certification class (xray), in 2002. My first job paid me $16.42 an hour to work in the 3rd largest level 1 trauma hospital in the country....today it pays the same to screw up orders at the McDonald's drive thru.
