how to prep early 80's harley fxr fairing?

i wanted to fix my buddies scratched up lower harley fairing pieces for his early 80's fxr. what kind of plastic is it, and will spi epoxy stick to it?
 
havent done an early 80's. just did a 92 and was abs. epoxy will stick whatever it is.

looks like its painted with some sort of cheap single stage enamel... bubbles when i put reducer on it. stripping it...
 
the guy wants that dated single stage look..so i guess im shootin it with single stage. never worked with that stuff before...

not big deal.. easy to spray.
