S
Senile Old Fart
An appropriate title would be a river runs on it.
I am doing a panel repair on the wife's Tahoe. Had a bit of a dent behind the right rear wheel where something contacted it during hurricane Katrina.
My wife finally brow beat me into submission and I agreed to fix it this summer.
The other day she reminded me summer only a few more weeks o summer remains.
So I get somewhat motivated, knock the dent out, get it in epoxy .
Today I shoot the base coat, then go after it with the clear.
Somewhere between laying on the floor shooting the bottom and lower portion of the panel AND getting back into a standing position some gremlin snuck up behind me. Dam thing turned the fan control in a good 3/4 turn.
Well everything was going good, on cruise control you might say. Made the next pass on the panel and came back across with another pass. About half way across I notice dam I don't have much of a fan.
After looking for anything but the obvious for a couple minutes I check my fan adjustment , 1 3/4 out. had it at 2 1/2out..
Readjust and complete the panel.
Needless to say there is a "flow indicator" that looks like the Hoover Dam burst.
Going to be a bit of cut and buff now.(that is an understatment, lol)
That sucks because the rest of the panel is sweet, peel closely matches the rest of the vehicles oem finish.
