I'm gonna break this topic in!

just kidding. if your going to sand it off i would use a jitter bug with 80 wet. mix some dawn soap and water in a good spray bottle and keep it wet enough to cut.
but the best money you could ever spend would be for a media blasting job. using acrylic you can peel it clean without harming anything else.

Sorry for the dumb question. So I'm torn between just using a DA to take the paint down to metal or using an acrylic media blaster. If I were to use the media blasting option, would I just need to hit it with my DA and 80 grit, degrease metal, then spray a coat or two of SPI epoxy? or would there be additional steps required?

Thanks,

Eddie

acrylic removes paint but leaves no anchor pattern so you would need to sand with 80 . on metal i use olivine ( green lightning ) to blast with. i can take it down to factory primer and stop.

Shine, ok thanks! Sorry to say this, but there will be a lot of questions from me. So again, thanks!
