I have a gallon of universal clear, unopened and the activator also unopened. I quart of white epoxy unopened and the activator also unopened. 1/2 quart of white epoxy and 1/2 can of activator. Also have a quart of red base coat and a a quart of med red basecoat also both unopened. Bought them about 2 years ago and haven't been able to use it. I am now resuming my projects and will be painting this week.

Epoxy still probably good. I've used 3 year old activator before (I tested it first). Air space and humidity in the can are the killers. Mix a little bit up and see if it eventually hardens in 3 or 4 days, or brush it out and see if it dries and there's your answer. I've tested 6 year old activator that still hardened, however I wasn't brave enough to trust it on a car.

Basecoat is good if unactivated for a very long time.

Clearcoat is prob fine if unopened as I've used clear older than 2 years before, but I did get new activator since mine was opened.

All this information is what I've gleaned off Barry through our hours of convos over the years.

When storing thing, especially with high solids, it's good to flip the can every few months.

I'm kind of stealing this post but it fits in pretty good without starting a new one..
I opened up some waterborne wax and grease remover that I had stored in my 60-65° basement since oct. and it was a golden brown color. It smelled normal but I seem to remember being clear. and the same goes for the epoxy activator, golden brown like a good whiskey but again I was thinking it should be clear.
I'm new at this as of last summer, and winter around here puts a halt on any painting, and honestly I don't remember what the color of the product is suppose to be. There's no solids in the activator and the brushed on epoxy on the cab corner seems to have set up fine.
I'm just looking for confirmation all is good.
