It has rivets..how to prep?

Paint pro's - how do you handle a panel that has rivets? I'm not going to weld, fill the rivet holes because I want to keep the factory look.

My plan was to remove the rivets, prep the panel and lay down epoxy, then 2k, block it down, etc and then reinstall the rivets before spraying an epoxy sealer coat and then to basecoat. My concern is that any epoxy or 2k primer substrate that may be left around the hole will crack when I reinstall the rivets. Anyone have any experience with panels that have rivets?

Thanks in advance!

Going to assemble a model A truck bed that l had painted 15 years ago and had told the owner that it was going to be a problem. Ended up taking it apart and sandblasting the whole thing once I get it peeped and shoot some more epoxy primer on. Once I get the riveting techniques down with out heating the rivets I want to try coating the rivets in epoxy primer and installing them when the epoxy is still wet .
