So first I owe MrFireman164 a YouTuber I follow a big thanks for turning me on to SPI. He is meticulous in his restorations and recommends SPI Epoxy and spoke very highly of the Company and Barry. To his point Barry has been super responsive and helpful. This type of customer service is a dying breed. Thank you!!

I am a new member to the forum and am restoring my grandpa's 1968 Newport- Chrysler. I have stripped her to bare metal and am super glad I did because there were spots the paint looked intact and it was riddled with minor rust underneath.

Now here's my shout out to 700 and a question. I am astounded at the cleaning capabilities of the 700 as I used PrepAll for one fender and inner wheel wells before shooting with SPI expoxy. I kept reading about how well the 700 was despite the recent subtle formulation changes. So before I received the 700 I cleaned the (other) passenger fender with PrepAll. It sat in my garage- granted not the cleanest conditions but far more cleaner than leaving them outside.

Eager to try the 700 myself I sprayed a mist onto the bare fender let it sit and wiped it dry. Holy-SHEET metal that was dirtier than I thought it was! It was almost as if I didn't clean it! So now I am second guessing myself on the other pieces I have already shot of which I used Prepall. I had no issues, it laid down fine but I do not want something creepin up on me in the future. I will strip it and start over- don't want to but if that's what it takes to not have issues then so be it. What are your thoughts? Yes I am a rookie at this but I am a humble one!
