About to finish up 4 coats of dbc cortez silver on a 70 chevelle. Going to lay out stripes and spray tonight. (spi black base) Do i have to clear it tomorrow? Any adverse effects from letting it sit for a while? I was thinking about letting the silver sit overnight before stripes then letting it all sit overnight again before clear.

They SPI Black will be fine as long as its not outside and as long as other cars and people are around the car.

DBC I can speak for but have cleared it 48 hours later on one car (735 silver Mercedes)., I would keep it to no more then 24 just to be safe on the stripes.

Conditions as to where car is being painted is everything, the companies in last three years that have said no time limit always finish with "as long as it does not leave the booth"

I've sprayed a lot of DBC and agree with Mr. Barry. If you activated it you need to spray it in 24 hours or less. If unactivated I've sprayed it as many as 5 days later with no issues. Your experience may vary.
If you shoot a coat or 2 of intercoat clear after you are done with base you can let it sit if you need to and simply scuff your intercoat later on before you clear. SPI makes a superb inter clear. Best stuff I've used.
