Trying to keep positive attitude, SO
Perhaps we go right to spring next week.
Goodbye to my peach and pear blossoms.
It was 25 when I left home, so 83 miles later its always a difference of 5 degrees or so.

I can imagine what your tv weather people go thru down there. We are stuck with "snowgasms" and "coldgasms", always with the sky is falling uneasiness. Hey, after that -50 wind chill here in Chicago, dont make it sound like -20 is that bad. It was bad when the temp was -20 for three days.

It was in the teens here last night.
I don't paint during the winter, I already have customers lining up.
when it breaks, I'll be busy.
And it'll be fishing season too.

66 and sunny here after 20" of snow last week.
Mud starting to dry up but rain is in the forecast. One of the coldest, wettest winters we have had in the twenty years I have lived here.

my wild plums were budding out right before it hit. luckily they had not opened so maybe they will survive. need them plums for jelly !

We had 14" here in Sonoita Jim.... believe it is a record. Yes it has been a cold wet winter and it is not done after looking at the forecast......

The other day I literally left the house and drove the hour to work. Left the house in a thin t-shirt almost sweating. Got out the truck at the office. Freeaking freezing to death. These old bones and joints ain't enjoying this.

The work up to the news starting was we are tracking more snow. Stay tuned to get the forecast of how much we will be getting overnight.
Got up earlier than normal, there was a coating on the windows of the van and barely any on the ground. Hence my term snowgasm.

In my area it has been the wettest winter on record and in 2018 we had the second wettest year on record. The ground is saturated like I have never seen before. Gonna be a month late on getting my garden planted, cause I can't get my little tractor or even the roto-tiller in the ground due to the rain.

If I meet El Nino I'm gonna give that little bastard a smack.:D

Here in south fl, dry season had occasional downpours.
Bananas & lawn loved it, mango tree not so. Sprayed copper fungicide too late, more then 1/2 my mango flowers molded :(
Rain might've washed pollen off too, don't know, new to mangos. 15yr old tree i put for privacy yrs ago till it fruited & made me mango lover lol. So sweet! Face & hands stay sticky after eating one & washing well.
Now i'm hooked on home grown, making room for oranges & yellow (not bitter ruby red) grapefruit.
Store bought doesn't come close.
Prayer for Barry's peaches, pears & Shines plumbs.
And it just started pouring out.
