New and needed badly.

So would you put the MC100 at the end of the line beside the M60? Would that not drop pressure and volume quite a bit?

When looking into a filter, read the specs from the manuf. Each filter design will effect air flow differently from manuf. to manuf. Even if they do the same thing.

There are just too many manuf.'s and designs to know all that information, but I have seen filters drop pressure as much as 5psi put 3-4 of those inline you get the idea. They also can have a max psi working pressure too so if your are throwing 160psi from your 2 stage compressors (that's a common factory pressure setting) then having a filter with a max pressure rating of 120psi would be a mismatch.

Getting the proper filtration for your application is not rocket science you just have to match what your starting with (your compressor) then build from there, getting a unit that exceeds your demand is a good idea but don't get something that has a lower rating then what your compressor can do.

OK lets get a toilet paper edumacation!! LOL
Did you know there are two types or was a few years back, one is for septic tanks that is made to break down faster, yes this was true but maybe they are all the same now as I'm sure the city's wanted the stuff they got to break down faster.
I do get a call every so often where someone will ask is the stuff showing up in their paint from the toilet paper.

actually yeah. since i have a septic here at my place i have noticed this a long time ago that some are better for septic. i think in general there is something in the paper making process, not sure if its a salt, bleach or something else but when you leave that toilet paper roll in the filter and its damp, whatever is in the paper corrodes the aluminum. the powder coat on that filer peels right off on the inside and the aluminum starts pitting really bad. i cant remember this happening with the original element.

Jim, which tp breaks down best? I have 30yr old septic here south fl.
Can probably soak a roll of each for filter element test & use pool test strips to see chlorine, alk & ph acid levels.

Great idea, maybe take a 5 gallon bucket fill with water, leave water in sun a day then put 2 or 3 packets of yeast in it and than a few different roils in put a top on and see.

you got me. once that goes down the shitter i stop checking on it. lmao!

I corroded out my first M60 housing by leaving in the wet original paper element. This was when I had an overworked compressor running a DA. I've never used toilet paper in any of mine. I have several original paper filters that I rotate and let dry on a shelf in a clean cabinet.

My oem filters corroded the housing too.
