I dont think many of us have a problem with this product just to move air as long as it is not overly hot to begin with. Anything covered in rubber or plastic is not going to allow any thermal transfer of heat, so the water problems from compressors make it all the way thru, with little chance of extra help cooling 100 degree air to ambient air around the pipe. In Roosters case, he was trying to make a cooling system so it was all copper, the best metal for thermal transfer.
The best way to cool air is with a refrigerated drier because it works on getting the dew point down in the air. So any place after the air is cool enough, this stuff is fine. I just dont know what your system runs at, so if its really hot, then cool it before the plastic coated stuff.
